Rael Isacowitz is a world-renowned Pilates teacher. He has more than 30 years of experience as a pilates instructor, as a prominent professor, both at his Los Angeles studio and at symposiums, universities, schools and pilates studios around the world.
Rael graduated in education at Israel’s prestigious Wingate Institute, where he later served as a teacher. She later completed an MA in Dance at the University of Surrey in England.
Among his first pilates teachers were Alan Herdman, and later several of the first generation teachers who were instructed by Joseph Pilates himself, such as Kathy Grant, Ron Fletcher, Romana Kryzanowska, Eve Gentry and Lolita San Miguel.
In 1989, he founded his Body Arts and Science International (BASI Pilates) school, which later developed into one of the world’s leading pilates teaching organizations.
Rael has also authored and co-authored many informative books related to anatomy, health and pilates.
